In 1982, CONDAT started to develop a CAD-System for special industrial applications, called CADDEX®.
In about 1986, the German Defense Ministry and Deisenroth Engineering initiated an application software to simulate ballistic attacks against main battle tanks in order to support and prove armour and vehicle design.
This program was written by CONDAT and immediately proved its worth when analysing the MBT’s Leopard 1 and Leopard 2.
Based on this experience, CONDAT created a free configurable ballistic program and combined it with the 3-D CAD system CADDEX® to become GSS (Gesamt Schutz Simulation), a CAD-based armor/anti-armor analysis program, which gives the user a perfect tool to study his individual armor technologies and vehicle designs.
Today, GSS runs on all modern PC’s under Windows NT and Windows 95/98/XP.
Continuing development has made GSS the world’s most advanced commercial target simulation program with more than 500 different functions.
It has been successfully used to improve, modernize and analyses vehicles
